herree inherited her love of Big Band music from her father, Keith Gnagy. As a former member of the Marine Band, and a touring member of Bob Crosby's band, Mr Gnagy instilled a love of music in Sherree at a young age. Trained as a classical saxophonist Sherree has always enjoyed dance band styles from Glenn Miller to Lawrence Welk. After her father retired his band Mr G. and the Big Band Sound, he passed down his extensive musical library to Sherree. After a few years she decided to form her own band as a way to honor her father. The Overtones is the result of that decision. Sherree has served in the US Air Force as a member of the United States Air Force Band of Mid America where she met her husband, Jim. She has two children, Andrew and Heather and a son in law Calvin . She loves to play because "Music is the voice of the heart"
